MkII that we've sailed out of Marion Mass since 1990. (I started
the "Chris-Craft Sailboat Club" around 1992-3 and turned it
over to Bob Pemberton years ago).
Our
boat is on the
hard at Triad Boatworks in Mattapoisett since last year,
and seriously for sale (photos on
www.YachtWorld.com)
Health forces sacrifice at $19,500.. Can be seen by appt with

She
has wheel
steering with Auohelm, a 1989 Universal Diesel, New Harding
mailsail, Spectra Genoa on Pro-Furl, excellent Hood Spinnaker, nylon
Drifter, and new Boson staysail; recent upholstery, custom
mahogany interior, new Adler-Barbour refrigeration/ice-maker that runs
24/7 with 33 watt solar panel. CNG gas stove/oven & water heater
for galley & shower. 16 gal holding tank with deck pump-out fitting
and three-way valve for off-shore flush. Anchor windlass needs
rebuilding but chain gypsy works. Double bow roller for 2 anchors
(plow & Danforth) plus 250' chain rode provides great holding
and good bow ballast to offset Diesel and 2 CNG canisters aft.
I have replaced most iron backing plates.
Yard used 1/2" Starboard brand polyboard and epoxy-carbon fiber,
with good results. I've never had leaks around the keel, and keep the
joint sealed with 3M 5200, as it was designed to have some
"give" in hard upwind heeling stresses.
We've
really
enjoyed sailing & racing (PHRF Cruising 182) her around the
Islands, Long Island Sound and overnight to Mt. Desert, Maine,
lots of time in Marblehead and Ipswich, and have lived aboard her
4 of the past 5 summers since we moved to FL and NC. She draws too much
for easy sailing down here in Pamlico River area of NC, and we don't
have luxury of summers off anymore, so she's reluctantly for sale.
Best
regards,
