I am Dave Erickson, president of MicroBus Inc. I have over 27 years of professional electrical engineering design for product development. My role as engineering manager for small companies and small divisions has included analog and digital circuit design, systems design, firmware and software design, as well as engineering and quality systems, CAE, and all types of product development management from concept to production and beyond. After college at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, I worked for two years at Hewlett Packard Medical in Waltham, on a team developing a state of the art raster graphics display system for a patient monitoring central station. I then worked for a startup doing consulting for three years. During that time I developed products and subsystems for many clients ranging from microprocessor design to software to analog instrumentation to test systems. I then hired on at Datacube suring its startup phase where I became engineering manager and designed state of the art image processing equipment with the excellent team there. I was the co-inventor of MaxBus, the first open standard for pipeline image processing. I designed many products from frame buffers and video digitizers to Image processors and graphics boards. After 16 years at Datacube, I moved to Analogic as Chief Engineer of the Test and Measurement division. There we developed digitizers and waveform generators for the ATE industry. After 5 years I decided to go out on my own to develop a product line that incorporated the microprocessor, display and data acquisition technologies that I had become familiar with. Thus MicroBus. Here is the long version of my current resume.
